Graft n. 1 a bud, shoot, or scion of one vegetal being inserted in a slit in the stem or trunk of another vegetal being. 2 living tissue transplanted from one body to another, or from one part of the body to another.


Grafting troubles the myth of individual identity.
Through the fusing of tissues and the exchange of fluids, it makes visible a process in which two (or more) beings effectively become one. These new bodies reveal a potential for radical openness and reciprocity that blurs the boundaries between self and other.
